U. S. Steel Gary Works' Employees & ERGs Show Their 💗 at Recent Community Event

On Saturday, September 25, 2021, dozens of employees and their family members representing U. S. Steel's two Northwest Indiana facilities - Gary Works and Midwest Plant - gathered on a beautiful morning at Coffee Creek in Chesterton, Indiana, for the annual American Heart Association Heart Walk.

U. S. Steel has been a 16-year participant in the event and won an award this year for having the most registered walkers for this year's walk. During our 16-year history with the event, U. S. Steel employees in the area have raised nearly $370,000 to fund the fight against heart disease and stroke, including nearly $20K in 2021!

Thank you to everyone who raised funds and walked in 2021.  And a special thank you to the Gary Works ERG leaders who organized the entire effort this year.

There's still time if you'd like to contribute.  Visit the Gary Works page here on the American Heart Association's website and select the ERG team to which you'd like to add your contribution.
