U. S. Steel donated $10,000 to the Northwest Indiana Law Enforcement Academy (NILEA) to help fund its 2024 training needs. NILEA provides in-service training classes to men and women in law enforcement throughout Northwest Indiana, and two 16-week basic recruit academy classes yearly. Jacob Bell, U. S. Steel Gary Works Manager, Security and Fire Protection, and Jeffrey Snemis, U. S. Steel Corporate Safety, Security, and Emergency Services Investigator presented the check to team members from NILEA.
