On September 27–28, 2025, the Brown Family Ranch hosted its annual rodeo event in Gary, Indiana, drawing crowds from across the region to witness top-tier horseback riders compete in thrilling timed events.

U. S. Steel was honored to be a Gold Sponsor, supporting both the event and the ranch’s mission to provide agricultural and equestrian education to the Gary community.

Families enjoyed a full weekend of fun, including pony rides, face painting, bouncy houses, and delicious food vendors. The evenings came alive with live music, a DJ, and a fireworks display.

Funds raised during the event will help support the ranch’s summer camp and year-round programs that offer horseback riding lessons, ranch tours, workshops, and more, especially for underserved children and families in the area.
