Over the weekend, the City of Portage held their Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony during their Christmas parade on Saturday, December 7 th. Every year, the Midwest Plant supports the tree lighting through continued funding in the city where the plant is located. This support allows the event to spotlight many things beyond the holiday spirit. Local sports teams, businesses, and first responders were able to participate in the Christmas parade.

Building community spirit is the same as the work we do every day. The details start small to create something bigger than imagined. Our contribution to the Portage Christmas Tree Lighting rolls into greater community cohesion. Sharing the light-hearted feeling of the holiday season is a view we continue to get behind.
